According to the Assistive Technology Industry Association at atia. org, “assistive technology or AT is any item, piece of equipment, software program, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of persons with disabilities.”

Gordon Tree Board announces details for Spring Tree Contest

Following the success of the 2023 first ever “Beautiful Tree Contest,” the Gordon Tree Board is again accepting nominations for Gordon’s most Beautiful Flowering Spring Tree. Rushville Elementary celebrates Arbor Day

Arbor Day is a civic holiday with special ties to Nebraska. In 1872, a man by the name of J. Sterling Morton came to the Nebraska Board of Agriculture with the idea that a special day be assigned for the planting of trees. This holiday, called Arbor Day, was first observed with the planting of more than one million trees in Nebraska, and is now celebrated all over the world.
