G-R One Act and ProStart set to shine on November 18

By Scott Bidroski An event that combines two of the most awarded groups at Gordon-Rushville High School is coming up fast. The G-R One Act team and the ProStart Cuisine Team are coming together for an evening of “Flights of Flavors.” The night will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Local medical provider agrees to disciplinary settlement with DHHS

By Scott Bidroski According to documents filed on October 22, 2025 by the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health, Dr. Anpo Charging Thunder has been censured and had her medical license limited.

Gordon American Legion Post #34 sets schedule for Veterans Day

By Scott Bidroski The Gordon American Legion Post #34 has set their schedule for Veteran’s Day on Tuesday, November 11. The Legion will be open at 11:00 a.m. for a Social Time for Veterans. Snacks will be provided at no charge and Veterans are encouraged to attend.

Sandhills Ranch Internship, Apprentice accepting applications

The Sandhills Task Force is now accepting applications for the 2026 season of Sandhills Ranch Internships. This paid, three-month summer-long internship includes room and partial board as well as additional paid educational opportunities.

Three felony sexual assault charges filed against Gordon man

(By Scott Bidroski) During the Tuesday, November 4 session of the Sheridan County District Court, a Gordon resident was arraigned on three felony charges and one misdemeanor charge for alleged inappropriate actions with his stepdaughters.

G-R School Board hosts special facilities meeting on Oct. 30
