In a weekend packed full of community, familyfriendly events, and just plain fun during the 98th annual Hay Springs Friendly Festival, something special took place for a local business.

G-R teacher named 2025 Nebraska ProStart Educator of the Year

Gordon-Rushville High School educator Kay Kruger has been shaping and building young men and women for 40 years as a teacher.She has taught in the Family and Consumer Sciences subject which has included the courses of Home Economics, Foods and Nutrition, Child Development, and many others.

A very unique and highly decorated religious musical group is set to perform in Gordon next week.Legacy Five, which has placed 28 Top 40 radio hits in the Religious genre, is headed to Gordon to entertain all who want to attend on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:00 p.m.

For more than 50 years, Farm Bureau has been bringing young farmers and ranchers together, all across Nebraska, to share their experiences, gather ideas, and develop leadership skills.

Local business featured in upcoming film, East of Wall

The bright lights of the movie industry lit up a local business last year and now the fruits of their labor is on the big screen.The Gordon Livestock Market played host to the cast and crew of the movie, East of Wall, for a few days last year.

Chamberlain Mortuary purchased the property from Joe and Rosana Kirk and has plans to renovate the building to suit their needs.
