Something delightfully strange is coming to the stage this week as The Addams Family opens, bringing the wonderfully eccentric Addams clan to life in a production filled with music, laughter, romance, and plenty of unexpected surprises.
Based on the beloved characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams, The Addams Family follows the famously unconventional Addams clan as they face a situation that turns their world upside down. Wednesday Addams, (Tiffany Viher) now older and in love, has fallen for a young man Lucas, (Elijah Jackson) from a very different kind of family. The problem? Her parents, Gomez (Nic Elwood) and Morticia (Brittany Hoagland), know nothing about it—and Wednesday has asked her father to keep a secret from her mother.
As the two families come together for an unforgettable evening, secrets begin to surface, relationships are tested, and the Addamses discover that perhaps being “normal” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
The production features a talented cast bringing these familiar characters to life, including the mysterious and mischievous Wednesday, the passionate Gomez and Morticia, the alwaysunpredictable Uncle Fester (Tony Hindman), Pugsley (Ivy Jones Hazledine), Grandma (Paxton Kicker), Lurch (Travis Beguin), and, of course, the entire Addams family.
Audiences can expect a show filled with memorable musical numbers, colorful characters, comedy, and the wonderfully quirky spirit that has made the Addams Family so beloved for generations. There are also plenty of theatrical surprises along the way—including some moments that audiences may not see coming!
Whether you already love the Addams Family or have never experienced the story on stage, this production offers something for everyone. It is a show about family, love, acceptance, and discovering that sometimes the people who seem the strangest are the ones who understand us best.
