21st Century Equipment welcomes Gordon-Rushville High School senior Caleb Heck as part of the company’s Ag Tech training program in conjunction with John Deere.
Heck signed his Letter of Intent to join John Deere during a small ceremony at Gordon-Rushville High School on Monday, February 26.
Heck will be sponsored by 21st Century Equipment’s Gordon dealership. He will attend school at Southeast Community College in Milford, Neb.
Heck is the son of Josh and Michele Heck of Rushville, Neb.
“We’re proud to have Caleb as part of our team,” said Owen Palm. “We know he will be a great asset to 21st Century Equipment.”
The John Deere Ag Tech program is a unique alliance between John Deere, John Deere dealers and various 2-year colleges across the nation. Students will graduate from the program with an associate of applied science degree while also completing a cooperative work experience at a John Deere dealership.
Students gain knowledge on all aspects of John Deere products, including receiving their certifications in hydraulics, electrical and service advisor diagnostic’s software and developing a strong understanding of the current technologies that are available on John Deere equipment.
21st Century Equipment’s Ag Tech college program provides reimbursement for up to 100% of college tuition, books, fees, room and board, plus Snap-On tools and a toolbox.
