During the Mitchell Speech Meet on Saturday, March 2, the Hay Springs Hawks Speech team would earn seven medals for their efforts.
Those results included: Julia Russell - First place, Informative Ava McKillip - Third place, POI Taden Tobiasson - Third place, Entertainment Abigail Nelson - Fifth place, Poetry Reese Varvel - Sixth place, Humorous Chase Brunsch - Sixth place, Poetry Larry Nelson and Tanner Tobiasson, Sixth place, Duet The Speech team is hosting an event this next Sunday, March 10 at the Hay Springs Cafeteria beginning at 3:00 p.m.
All are welcome to attend at no charge and see the entire team in action prior to the District Meet the following day.
The team will head to Western Nebraska Community College on March 11 to compete at Districts to try to earn a coveted spot at the State Meet.
