Audience members left the show “The Great American Trailer Park Musical last weekend feeling exhilarated and still chuckling. The best part is it is coming again to the Plains Theater this coming weekend. It is zany, hysterical, heart wrenching, and highenergy.

Smitty’s Place hosts Mental Health Awareness event on June 21

On Saturday, June 21, Smitty’s Place hosted a fundraiser for McKenna’s Rae of Hope Foundation based in Kearney, Neb.A Poker Run and silent auction were hosted to raise the money for Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Gordon Country Club hosted quite the event on Saturday, June 21 as Joseph and Kathryn Jacobson tied the knot.Kathryn (Harrison) Jacobson is the daughter of Shawn Harrison of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Michelle Harrison of Omaha, Neb.

Delta Kappa Gamma officers complete chapter project

The Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) officers met in June to fill Guy and Girl Grooming Kits for Gordon, Rushville, Hay Springs, and Chadron Schools. DKG applied for and received a $750 Esther Pilster Endowment Chapter Project Award.

Twelve more games on the diamond for the Security First Regulators in the books

By Scott Bidroski Another busy week is in the books for the Security First Regulator legion baseball teams as they compiled 12 more games across all their programs. The week began with a win for the Seniors team at home as they took down Bridgeport by the final score of 15-13.

If you were nearly anywhere in Rushville on the evening of June 20, you probably saw a group of women parading around in brightly colored caftans and red, curly wigs. The 14 women were participating in the first-ever Mrs. Roper Romp.For anyone under the age of 30, Mrs. Roper might be new to you.
