Hay Springs City Council swears in Keith Kearns as Mayor

The April 9 meeting of the Hay Springs City Council began with a swearing in of the new mayor, former council president Keith Kearns. Kearns will hold the office until the end of the term in 2026.

Top spot awarded for 2024 GRMS March Mammal Madness

The results are in and the winner in the annual March Mammal Madness (MMM) at Gordon-Rushville Middle School is 8th grader Joel Montenez-Rodriguez. Montenez-Rodriguez earned the top spot with the best bracket in the entire school for the event.
