The Chicoine Center at Chadon State College will host the seventh annual Lakota All-Star Basketball Games this coming Saturday, April 18. Five games will be played, two of them involving high school boys’ teams and one each of high school girls and college men and women.

The Sheridan County Courthouse and Sheridan County American Legion Posts welcomed in seniors from both Gordon-Rushville and Hay Springs High Schools for the Sheridan County Government Day on Tuesday, April 7.

The theme for this year was “A Night on the Ship of Dreams.” Seniors Marlee Keracik and Jaxon Kearns were crowned Queen and King respectively. Pictured in the photo include: Homecoming Queen Amara Funk, Kylie Goings, Lindsey Simonson, Taylor Gieselman, Claire Wellnitz, Reese Simonson, Keracik, Kearns, Hunter Brewer, Turner Anderson, Seth Mills, Elijah Ross, Daniel Martins, and Homecoming King Johnny Ziller.

By Scott Bidroski The Gordon-Rushville Youth Wrestling team made the trip this past weekend to compete on the big stage at the NEUSA State Wrestling Tournament in Grand Island, Neb. And when the dust settled on the two day event, plenty of hardware made its way back to the Panhandle.
