Wellnitz finishes 58th at State XC in Kearney

By Scott Bidroski A single runner from Hay Springs, junior Parker Wellnitz, qualified for the Nebraska Class D State Cross Country Meet which took place this past Friday, October 25. Wellnitz, who qualified for the third time in his career, placed 47th as a sophomore and 62nd as a freshman.

Sheridan County 4-H Achievement Banquet honors members, volunteers

By Melissa Mracek, Sheridan County 4-H Extension Educator Families, volunteers, and supporters of the Sheridan County 4-H program gathered on Sunday, October 27 to celebrate the end of the 4-H year. The Sheridan County American Legion presented the colors to start off the evening.

Mustangs battle through tough week of volleyball action

Hawks breeze past Minatare; turn attention to Arthur Co.

By Scott Bidroski The football team from Hay Springs kept their undefeated season alive this past week with a win over the Minatare Indians. The Indians only were able to suit up 6 players for the contest so the Hawks were able to use plenty of their roster to secure the win, 69-0.

Hawks Volleyball finishes third at PANCO tourney

By Scott Bidroski As the 2024 season begins to wind down towards postseason play, the Hawks Volleyball team continues to stack up matches. The team traveled to Morrill High School for a triangular on Tuesday, October 15 to begin their week.
