Coomes finishes in 62nd at State Golf

By Scott Bidroski The 2024 season came to a close for the Gordon-Rushville Girls Golf team as senior Katie Coomes competed at the State Golf Meet on October 16 and 17. Coomes played 36 holes at the Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte, Neb.

Mustang XC to send three to Kearney for State

Parent groups making a difference

By Heidi Beguin If you no longer have children in elementary school, you may not know that there are active parent groups in both Rushville and Gordon. The Gordon PTA and Rushville Parent Group recently created a fundraiser to help support students, teachers, and families of these schools.

Grand Island crash claims the lives of two Gordon men

A tragic accident in Grand Island, Neb. is sending waves through Sheridan County. Two men from Gordon, Daniel White Face and Atreyu Thorsen, along with Juan Ramos and Alexander Ramos American Horse from Grand Island, were killed in an auto accident over the weekend.

Thanks to the Ten Free Trees program, an effort of the Nebraska Forest Service and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, The City of Rushville and the Rushville Tree Board received 10 trees for the Ballpark Beauty Project.
