Hawks offense comes alive in Chappell

By Scott Bidroski For back-to-back weeks, the Hay Springs Hawks have crossed the goal line a plethora of times. The week previous, the team put up 88 points on Potter-Dix. They fell short of that mark this past Friday when they took on Creek Valley though.

P.E.O. Chapter DW Rushille held their meeting on Monday, September 9. It was a monumental event for membership. One lady, Donell Tausan, was welcomed into our sisterhood through the Ceremony of Initiation. Another member was reinstated in her membership, Rena Krotz.

Addition of eagle statues brings Veterans Memorial Park one step closer to completion

By Heidi Beguin Local Gordon business owner Casey Walton wanted to serve in the military, but couldn’t because of an issue with one of his eyes. Instead he’s taken on the completion of Gordon’s Veterans Memorial Park.

Get Your Game On; Mustangs set to celebrate 2024 Homecoming

With the week beginning on Monday, September 16, Gordon-Rushville Public Schools officially began their 2024 Homecoming festivities. On Monday, students were encouraged to wear their pajamas for Pajama Day. Rhyme without Reason was the dress-up theme for Tuesday’s school day.
