A community staple; Wade Ginkens Memorial 4k on the 4th set for year number 21

By Tessa Hurlburt One thing to count on in Gordon on July 4 (besides fireworks!) is the Wade Ginkens Memorial 4k on the 4th.The race was started by Roberta Jacobson in 2003. An avid runner, Jacobson wanted to start an activity to bring the community together and be active.

Wayne State College releases spring 2024 Dean’s List

Wayne State College included 1,154 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Spring 2024 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Tech Tips: How often should I shut down my devices?

There’s a tech guy working in my old school who has a shirt that reads ‘Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on?’ I’m sure if you asked him he would tell you that half of the problems he gets questioned about are solved just by shutting the device down and powering it up again.

Ferguson receives Quilt of Valor on June 9

Courtesy Photo On Saturday, June 9, U.S. Navy veteran Scott S. Ferguson received a Quilt of Valor for his service in the military. Joining Ferguson for a photo were his parents, Vina Bronson and blank. His mother, Vina, made the quilt for Ferguson.
