The First National Bank of Gordon is pleased to announce that Sterling Leeper, has successfully completed Community Banker University’s Certified BSA/ AML Professional program and has earned the professional designation Certified BSA/ AML Professional - CBAP. Community Banker University, the education division of the Community Bankers of America, offers nine certification programs, which are accredited by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
To earn certification, Leeper attended the recent ICBA BSA/AML Institutesm and successfully completed the certification examination covering the fundamental concepts of BSA/AML regulations and their applications.
“With this CBAP certification Sterling has demonstrated a mastery of key banking concepts for professional development and to contribute to helping The First National Bank of Gordon achieve its business goals and objectives,” said ICBA Group Executive Vice President Lindsay LaNore. “I commend Sterling on reaching this milestone in pursuit of lifelong learning.”
Sterling is a valued employee of The First National Bank of Gordon, as a BSA Compliance Associate. She and her husband, Wade, spend a lot of their time following their two sons in various high school activities. When she isn’t doing that, and weather permits, you will find Sterling at the local golf courses perfecting her game.
