Black Hill’s Bagels right here in Gordon

Journalism Student Just soon after opening, Half Diamond E Coffee shop decided to spice things up a little bit and bring Black Hills bagels to us here in Gordon.

Beth Popken, who has owned Half-Diamond E for a couple months, gave us an insight on the new bagels that have recently made an appearance.

“There is not anything like it here in the area and my family stands behind their product and has been buying from them for years,” said Popken.

They are a quality business and produce quality products that would be a great addition to our coffee shop,”she added.

When asked how the bagels were transported all the way down from Rapid City, Popken says that she makes a custom order and that same day the bagels are baked and shipped all in one day. They then receive the bagels a day after so that when they get the bagels they are still nice and fresh.

What will the future hold for Black Hill’s bagels at Half- Diamond E coffee, people may ask?

Well, Popken says that they are now introducing lunch bagel Hills bagels, starting Monday, February 19. Customers will be able to customize their sandwiches by choosing from all different toppings.

Popken says that they are also considering breakfast sandwiches on the bagels too, hopefully starting soon.

She adds that each month they will feature a new bagel and cream cheese along with all their other flavors as well.

Popken says that the bagels are doing well and have been a great addition to their coffee shop bringing in more business.

If you want to go and try a bagel, but don’t know what to get, the most popular bagel and cream cheese has been the cinnamon swirl bagel with brown sugar cream cheese. Now instead of driving two and a half hours for nice, fresh bagel, all you have to do is drive down the street.
