Gary A. Waugh was born July 30, 1950 in Sutherland, Neb. Gary passed on March 22, 2025 at Gordon Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. Gary was born to William A. Waugh & Donna (Sadle) Waugh. Gary is survived by his wife Joan of 52 years of marriage, son’s Dustin (Niki), Nate (Kerri), grandchildren Kaedin & Cason.
Gary started his working life as a frame carpenter. He had the opportunity to farm his grand parents place so farmed and raised hogs and cattle while enjoying the life of raising boys in ag life. After selling the farm he became a custom hat maker. Gary loved the art of hat making. It was a good fit for his physical limitations. But most he loved the customer contacts and friendships developed.
Among hobbies enjoyed were team roping (especially while the boys were growing up) hunting, fishing and crafting anything from wood. His yard was his pride and joy!

Gary’s wishes were cremation and no funeral. “We love you man!” Say hi to the almighty and those up there that have proceeded us. Rest in peace!
