Bryan James Bourne was born December 29, 1938 to Joy Bourne and Marguerite Lehman Bourne in Rushville, Neb.
Bryan passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Bryan graduated from Rushville High School in 1956, attended Chadron State College, until being drafted into the Army.
Bryan met and married Sharon Witt, from Chadron, Neb., the couple were married November 1, 1969.
Bryan worked several jobs in his life including Bollin Distributing, Brown Oil, and Coash Fertilizer.
The family moved to Colorado Springs in 1986. Bryan worked and retired after 20 years from Fountain / Ft. Carson District 8 Schools. Bryan continued to be the communities “handyman” after retirement, would never say no to an older person in need of plumbing help, or cutting trees, even if it were in the middle of a family meal. We secretly think he loved the sweet treats people would send home.
Bryan will forever be missed for his kind heart, a smile that would light up a room, and his love for his Family and Friends Bryan is survived by his wife Sharon, children Ty (Melanie) Bourne, grandkids Shelby (Brice) Stangle, and Ethan Bourne of Gordon, Anne (Greg) Stevens, grandkids Karalyn and Robert Stevens of Sidney.
Services will be held at a later date with Military Honors at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, Colorado, Springs, Colo.
