Dixie Lee Stouffer passed away August 13, 2025 at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, Neb. at the age of 87. Dixie Lee was born on June 7, 1938 to Gordon & Glenna (Bolie) Stouffer. Dixie grew up in Gordon, Neb., was a member of the Wesleyan Gospel Chapel and very much a community staple. After the passing of her parents, Dixie moved to Rushville, Neb. where she was a member of the United Methodist Church. Dixie loved watching sports and could often be heard cheering on the Rushville athletes. Dixie enjoyed playing bingo and would be found walking to get her daily soda and mini-donuts. Dixie enjoyed the company of her family and her friend Lillian.
Dixie is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Stouffer, 3 nephews, Craig and wife Carol, Kevin, Kelly & wife Barbara, 1 niece Shelly & husband Marcello along with 7 beloved great-nieces & nephews and 2 great great nieces.
Dixie was preceded in death by an infant brother, her parents Gordon & Glenna and brother Lanny.
Dixie’s family would like to thank all those in the community who watched out for Dixie as she was out and about town over the years.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Dixie to the Rushville United Methodist Church.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
