Valora Scott

Funeral services for Valora Lee Scott, 80, were held Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Todd Weber officiating. Interment was at the Douglas cemetery and followed the service. Valora passed away peacefully at her home in Douglas on Friday, March 14, 2025. Valora Lee Scott was born Thursday, November 2, 1944 to two loving parents Robert Hoos and Marian Rose (Eckerle) Hoos in Gordon Nebraska. Valora graduated from Rushville High School in Rushville, Nebraska in 1963.

She married Larry E. Musfelt on July 26th, 1963 and of this union Bob and Cindy were born. Larry passed away on August 26, 1977. Valora and kids moved to Douglas in August of 1978 where she met and married Earl Douglas “Butch” Scott November 8th, 1980 which brought three more children into her life, Keely, Troy, and Blake.

Valora loved playing the game of golf until health reasons wouldn’t allow her to participate any longer. She could give anyone a run for their money in any card game you wanted to play. People that knew Valora, knew that she still loved watching and cheering on the Broncos and Wyoming Cowboys.

Valora is survived by her children Bob Musfelt and Tammy, Cindy Hladky and Troy, Keely Miller and Carl Black, Troy Scott and Katie, and Blake Scott and Darci; her many loving grandchildren and great Grandchildren; and her sisters, Shirley Davis and Joyce Pickett. Her honorary pallbearers will be June Mills, Brock Hladky, Lance, Hladky, Zane Hladky, Jaime Merrill, and Jace Musfelt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Douglas “Butch” Scott, on September 24, 2016; her parents, Robert and Marian Hoos; her brother, Bruce Hoos; and her grandson, Chance Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Douglas Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 or Converse County Cancer Fund in care of Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
