Iris Jewel Lanz Davis was born on August 3, 1931, to Erhart and Franis (Robinson) Lanz. She attended grade school in rural Rock County. After grade school, she attended Rock County High in Bassett, where she boarded with her many girl cousins.

Amos W. (Bud) Knight, age 101, of Rushville, Neb., passed away on June 23, 2026, at Gordon Countryside Care in Gordon, NE. Services will be held on July 2, 2026, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and a burial will be held at the Rushville City Cemetery.
