William “Bill” Andrew Redman, born April 20, 1947, in Elgin, North Dakota, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2026. Raised on the Redman family farm in Heil, North Dakota, Bill developed a lifelong love of farming, entrepreneurship, and the land. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1965, attended North Dakota State University and the National College of Business, and served honorably in the Army Reserve and National Guard. Over the years, he built a remarkable career in agriculture and equipment sales, including founding Redman Implement in Lemmon, South Dakota, operating Redman Enterprises in Belle Fourche, and spending 19 years with Modern Farm Equipment in Gordon, Nebraska. Bill was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, deep knowledge of farm equipment, and enduring passion for tractors, farming, and the people he served.
Bill’s family was the heart of his life. He was first married to Sandra “Sandy” Cole, with whom he had two children. In 1988, he married Sandra “Sandy” Tripp, welcoming her eight children into the family, and together they had two more children, creating a blended family of twelve children. After Sandy’s passing in 2017, Bill found companionship and partnership with Deborah Paroli, with whom he later owned and operated New to You Fashions and Treasures in Sturgis. He enjoyed dancing, Canasta, movies, gardening, and especially time with his grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Sandra (Tripp) Redman and his parents, Esther and David Redman. He is survived by Deborah Paroli, his twelve children, thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, his sister Susan Redman, his brother David “Dave” Redman, and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Kinkade Funeral Home, 1235 Junction Ave., Sturgis, South Dakota, on Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to family, his tireless work ethic, and the lasting example he set for all who knew him.
