Lloyd Hunzeker

Funeral services for Lloyd Thomas Hunzeker, 97 was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024. A memorial has been established for Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, the United Methodist Church of Hay Springs, Nebraska, and the Lloyd and Mary Ann Scholarship at Hay Springs High School.

James Kearns

James Robert Kearns (Jim) was born June 15, 1937 at Saint Joseph’s hospital in Alliance, Neb. to Thomas and Gladys Kearns (McParland). Jim was the youngest of three children. He grew up on the family farm north of Hay Springs next to the Metcalf state wildlife area.

Ronald Jensen

Ronald Dean Jensen was born March 16, 1939, to Carl and Margaret (Taylor) Jensen in Santa Barbara, California. He passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 85 in Gordon, Nebraska. The family moved back to Gordon in 1947 where Ron attended grade school and graduated high school.

Atreyu 'Trey' Thorsen

Atreyu “Trey” Ross Thorsen was born March 5, 2005 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Christina Red Cloud and Andrew Thorsen. He passed away tragically on October 13, 2024. Trey grew up on the family farm 6 miles east of Gordon. Trey started wrestling at age 5 and was an accomplished youth wrestler.

Bonita June Weber

Bonita (Bonnie) June Weber passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in Rapid City, S.D. Bonnie was born on June 14, 1933, to William and Jean (O’Connell) Blair in Custer, S.D. She joined an older sister, Shirley, and brother, Jim. She was eventually followed by two brothers, Mike and Jack.

Margie Hinn

Margie Lee (Tiensvold) Hinn, a woman loved and admired by all who knew her, was the third child born to Lloyd and Katherine Tiensvold on November 26,1931. She grew up with her siblings Buddy, Bonnie Jean and Judy.

Ila Mae Johnson

Ila Mae Johnson (Muck) age 77, passed away peacefully at home in Loveland, Colo. on September 17, 2024.Ila Mae was born to Everett and Ethel Muck on December 8, 1946 in Gordon, Neb. She grew up on the family farm south of Gordon, which is where she always found so much peace.

Donald Burrows

Donald Burrows, 91, passed away peacefully at his nephew’s home in Hay Springs, Nebraska on August 24, 2024. He was born December 16, 1932, in Hay Springs, Nebraska. Don was the second son of Milton and Lois (Wells) Burrows.
