Broncos too much for Hawks as they fall 44-14

    By Scott Bidroski In week three of the 2026 season, the Hay Springs Hawks welcomed in the Stuart Broncos for a match-up on Thursday, Sept. 10.

    The Broncos stood at 2-0 on the season and ranked 4th in the 6-Man rankings.

    Stuart flexed their muscles in this one unfortunately for the Hawks, as they took the lead and never looked back for the 48-14 win.

    For the Hawks, senior Tripp Buettner led the offense with 76 yards rushing.

    Freshman Braxton Spicer got the first touchdown for the Hawks though, scampering in during the third quarter.

    Sophomore Arian Mata added the other score as he scooped up a Stuart fumble and took it to the house for a TD.

    The Hawks dropped to 0-3 on the season but will have a bye week to get healed up and practice.

    They will play next against Friday, September 25 against Morrill. That contest will be a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
