Hawks topple Tigers to pick up first win of 2025 season

The Thursday night lights lit up the sky in Paxton, Neb. for the Hay Springs Hawks football as they traveled south on Thursday, August 28 to begin their 2025 season.When the dust cleared on the August evening, the Hawks would be taking home a win by the final score of 46-20.

Mustangs split first two matches of season at Hemingford

The Gordon-Rushville Mustang Volleyball team began their 2025 campaign in Hemingford as they faced off with the host Bobcats and the Kimball Longhorns.In match 1, Kimball and GR faced off and split the first two sets to force a decisive third set.

Hawks’ Wellnitz finishes sixth at Panhandle Classic

The 2025 Cross Country season began this past week for the Hay Springs Hawks.Five student-athletes toed the line at the Panhandle Classic on Thursday, August 28 to get things rolling for the year.

Bulldogs overwhelm Mustangs in first game of 2025 season

The lights at The Stable shined bright for the first time in 2025 as the Gordon-Rushville football team welcomed in the Alliance Bulldogs for game one of the season.The two teams lined up on Friday, August 29 and the visitors would get it going early.

Season ends for Regulator Juniors at Class C-7 Area

The Class C-7 Area Tournament made its way to Rushville this past weekend as six teams battled it out at Modisett Ball Park.In the opening round of action, the Security First Regulators took on the Orchard Tri-County Juniors team on Friday, July 11.

Regulators honor three seniors during ceremony on July 6

The Security First Regulator Baseball teams hosted a special day following the holiday by honoring their three seniors who are graduating from the program.

Regulator baseball teams finish up week after playing twelve games on the diamond

The summer season pushed on for the Regulator Legion Baseball Program as the teams played a combined 12 games on the week.The Juniors and Seniors got it started with two games in Bridgeport on Wednesday, June 18. The Regs split those games, winning the Seniors and dropping the Juniors game.

Regulators finish second at Chadron tourney with 2-1 record

By Scott Bidroski The young guns of the Security First Regulator youth baseball program has themselves another successful weekend on the diamond.The team traveled over to Chadron to join in a tournament and when the dust settled on the games, the team would place second.

Regulator Jrs. and Srs. pick up wins last week

The grind of the baseball season continued for the Security First Regulators as they continued through their 2025 campaign.The week began with the Prep team welcoming in Alliance on Monday, June 16.The Spartans were not too kind to the home team as they picked up two wins, 10-1 and 9-0.

Regulators oust Bombers; Gering at weekend tourney

Rain in the area made for a soggy week on the diamond for the Security First Regulators but the team was able to get some games in over the weekend.The Juniors squad made the trip to Gering for four games beginning on Friday, June 6.The first match-up was against the Buckley Bombers.
