Unified Bowling begins 2024 season racking up the strikes

By Scott Bidroski The Gordon-Rushville Unified Bowling team has began their 2024 season with several events over the past few weeks.It all began with a home dual against Alliance on Monday, October 28.The Mustangs would get the win in dominant fashion, 1,913 to 1,678.

Hawks’ Mata makes waves at State XC

Future is bright for the Hawks Volleyball team

By Scott Bidroski The 2024 Volleyball season has come to a close for the Hay Springs Hawks with a loss to the Shelton Bulldogs in the Class D2-8 District Final on Saturday, November 2.Even the team’s season ended before that earned ticket to State, the 2024 season was full of many successes.

Raymer scores four times to pace Hawks past Silver Lake and into the semi-finals

The second round the playoffs returned to Jaggers Memorial Field in Hay Springs this past Friday, November 8 as the Silver Lake Mustangs came to town to face the Hawks.Kickoff was set at 4:00 p.m. between the two schools.Silver Lake High School is based in Roseland, Neb.

Hawks overwhelm Wolves to finish regular season a perfect 8-0

Parker Wellnitz is headed back to State XC

By Scott Bidroski The Class D-6 District Cross Country meet took place this past week for the Hay Springs Cross Country team.Four runners competed in the event and one of them has punched his ticket to State.

Longhorns too much for Mustangs on the road

The Mustang Football team continued their 2024 season with a trip to Imperial, Neb. to face the Longhorns from Chase County.The two teams faced off on Friday, September 13.The Mustangs entered the contest with an 0-2 record and Chase County stood at 1-1.
