The high powered offense of the Hay Springs Hawks football team rolled into Harrison this past Friday and kept the momentum rolling.
Junior Tripp Buettner set the tone for the group as the shifty back stacked up the yards and touchdowns to pace the Hawks.
Buettner rushed for 224 yards on 19 carries and scored five rushing touchdowns. He also caught 4 passes for 62 yards and a receiving score.
On defense, Buettner intercepted a pass and collected 8 tackles, rounding out an impressive day for the junior.
Sophomore Jaydub Turman was solid at quarterback completing three passes and all three going for a touchdown. He also collected a team high 12 tackles on the day.
Freshman Arian Mata was strong on defense for Hay Springs as well, turning in 7 tackles.
The win over the Warriors pushed the Hawks record to 3-1 overall. They have scored 75+ points in the previous two weeks.
The two game win streak will be tested this Thursday, October 2, as the Crawford Rams come to town for a Highway 20 showdown.
Crawford brings in a 2-2 record fresh off a win over Cody-Kilgore on September 26.
